Join Chicagoland's only full time professional forager Dave Odd for a hike through Silver Springs State Fish and Wildlife Area to learn about all the wild and wonderful edible and medicinal mushrooms and plants that grow there. Guaranteed to see at least 50 different species! Mushrooms should be popping with chanterelles, oyster, and chicken of the woods season in full swing.
We will be hiking a few miles throughout the day so bring appropriate shoes, gear, etc and pack snacks.
